Leadership teams in nature · 02
A facilitated immersion for small leadership teams who need space, movement and a different quality of conversation.
What this is
Movement · Attention · Conversation
Titles become quieter. Pace becomes visible. Silence stops needing to be filled. Walking side by side makes some truths easier to say—and easier to hear.
The landscape is not a backdrop or a reward. It becomes part of the work: offering movement when a conversation is stuck, scale when a problem has become consuming and direct feedback about how a team travels together.
Not an escape from work. A way to see the work more clearly.
The experience
No artificial obstacles. The day moves between walking, paired reflection, whole-team dialogue, silence and time around a fire.
Leave devices and urgency behind. Clarify the question, the boundaries and what each person is willing to bring.
Move in pairs and alone. Let pace, attention and landscape create different access to the issue the team is carrying.
Bring what has become clear into the group. Listen without solving too quickly. Name the pattern beneath the presenting problem.
Return with explicit commitments: what changes in the room, in the relationship and in the work itself.
Around the fire
Fire offers warmth, focus and a natural equality. There is no head of the table. There is only what the team is ready to put into the centre—and what it is willing to take responsibility for.
What nature offers
The environment does not do the work for the team. It makes the team’s way of moving, listening and deciding harder to ignore.
Distance from the habitual room lets assumptions loosen and perspective widen.
Walking supports regulation, changes conversational energy and brings the body back into leadership.
Weather, terrain and pace are real. They ask for attention, adaptation and care for the whole group.
A strong fit
Not the purpose
Investment
Includes preparation, experience design, route and risk planning, facilitation and a post-immersion integration conversation. Travel, venue and accommodation are scoped separately.
Who holds the work
Immersions are stewarded by Ruben Carpentier, with outdoor, mindfulness and medical perspectives available when the terrain, team or context asks for them.
Discuss an immersion
Tell us who will be there, what is happening between them and what makes nature the right place for this conversation.
